Lottery Post can notify you by sending you an e-mail when a new reply is added to a topic.
Many users find this useful to keep up to date on topics without the need to scan the forums to check for new messages.
When you ask Lottery Post to notify you by e-mail of new replies on a topic, it is called "Subscribing" to the topic.
You can see and manage a list of all the topics you are currently subscribed to by clicking My Subscriptons in the Members menu.
There are two ways to subscribe to a topic:
- At the time you are creating the message to post to the forums, select the "E-mail Notify me of Replies" option before clicking the Post Message button. (Can be done either on the initial post that starts a new topic, or on a reply.) You only have to choose that option once per subscribed topic — later on, if you post additional replies to the same topic, your subscription is maintained even if you don't select the option.
- You can also subscribe to a topic even if you did not post any messages to it. At the top of every topic there is a button marked Subscribe. It is a toggle button, so you click it once to subscribe to the topic, and the next time you click it you will un-subscribe from the topic.
Un-Subscribing From a Topic
It is easy and quick to un-subscribe from any topic.
When you un-subscribe, the effect is immediate, and you will not receive any new e-mails for that topic.
There are two ways to un-subscribe from a topic:
- At the top of the topic's page, if you are subscribed to that topic you will see a button marked Unsubscribe. Click that button one time to un-subscribe from the topic.
- You can see and manage a list of all the topics you are currently subscribed to by clicking My Subscriptons in the Members menu. To un-subscribe from a topic, simply check the box next to the topic, and then click the Unsubscribe button. (You can un-subscribe from multiple topics at one time by placing a check mark next to each topic you wish to un-subscribe from before clicking Unsubscribe.)
